About Dr Kua Jieli
Dr Kua Jieli is a senior consultant cardiologist specialised in interventional cardiology and is the medical director at Carrington Cardiology. He is experienced in managing complex coronary artery disease and a variety of other cardiovascular diseases and conditions. He also handles difficult coronary interventional procedures such as left main disease, chronic total occlusions, and calcified lesions.
Dr Kua Jieli held prominent positions in the field of cardiology. He served as a Senior Consultant at National University Hospital Singapore and Ng Teng Fong General Hospital and was also the Director of the Cardiovascular Catheterisation Laboratory. Prior to this, he served as an International Cardiology Fellow and Honorary Consultant at Hammersmith Hospital Imperial Healthcare Trust, where he gained valuable experience in various prestigious healthcare institutions. Furthermore, Dr Kua is the current secretary of the PCI chapter for the Singapore Cardiac Society.
Education & Training
He obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the National University of Singapore. Dr Kua furthered his medical education by earning a Membership in the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) in the United Kingdom, London. Subsequently, he pursued advanced training and obtained a Master of Medicine (Internal Medicine) from the National University of Singapore.
Clinical Leadership
In addition to his clinical and research roles, Dr. Kua Jieli actively contributes to management and committees in his field. He serves as the Post PCI clinic lead at NTFGH and is a member of the Western STEMI regional network committee.
Dr. Kua’s commitment to excellence in cardiology, extensive research contributions, and dedication to education make him a renowned leader in his field, ensuring the highest quality care for his patients and the advancement of cardiovascular medicine. Furthermore, he is appointed as a fellow of the Asian-Pacific region (FAPSIC).
Teaching Awards
Dr Kua Jieli is dedicated to education and has been a Clinical Lecturer at the National University of Singapore since 2013. Having been recognised for his interventional skills, Dr Kua has received prestigious awards, including Best Case Presenter at TCTAP 2023 and 2024.
